Features listed in this article cover some of key features to be implemented and introduced in next versions of LiveSync.
Blend normal maps for Graphic, Seamline, Stitch and Puckering (ETA: Q2 2025)
Details that need to be expressed via normal maps could not be correctly reconstructed in Unreal Engine when a garment is sent with LiveSync, unless Unified Material option is used. We will ensure that such details are all taken into consideration without having to use Unified Material option.
Support for Knitwear (ETA: Q2 2025)
Designing realistic Knitwear has become possible in CLO 2024.0, and LiveSync will be equipped with a feature to send Knitwear data to Unreal Engine.
Customizable hierarchy (ETA: TBD)
At the moment, all patterns in CLO and Marvelous Designer are packed into a single 'garment' when transferred to CLO/MD LiveSync Editor using LiveSync's update feature. We want our users to be able to customize pattern groups such that a grouped garment can be split into user-defined garment hierarchy objects. (e.g. garment -> jacket, pants, shirt, etc)
Support for accessory types (ETA: TBD)
Accessories such as glasses and earrings are not fully recognized by LiveSync. Adding support for these accessory types will allow users to have a library of accessories in Unreal Engine and quickly apply them to desired avatars for more intuitive prototyping and visualization workflows.
